I Want to Read:
- The Bone Doll’s Twin by Lynn Flewelling
- Shadowsong by S. Jae-Jones
- Flesh and Fire by Laura Anne Gilman
I Want to Write:
- 5,000 words of DemiPrincess2
- Finish RibbonDancer
- 1,000 words of Patreon short story for March
- 5 poems for the next fairytale retelling project
Technically I finished three of these.
I read The Bone Doll’s Twin and part of Shadowsong by S. Jae-Jones, but most of my reading this month actually got devoted to reading indie publications. I read a whopping 14 books of which 2 were chunksters. I’m impressed!
I also finally finished the first draft of RibbonDancer and the March short story. I subsequently finished several more short stories, so now I’m actually ahead of where I wanted to be with the short fiction. Let’s see if I can also stay ahead!
Mostly, though, March was devoted to flailing about DemiPrincess1 and… I’m not sure what else. Baking, maybe? March was a blur. I did a fair amount of baking. I made more bread from scratch (go me!), I attempted maracoons (slightly overbaked), I attempted shortbread (and managed to fail twice), I conquered lemon meringue pie (which people, somehow, managed to expect to be sweet. It’s lemon pie, people! But hey more deliciousness for me!) and… I’m still no closer to croissants, alas.
But beyond that I have no idea what happened to or in March.
