Lynn rambles about… Asexual Fairy Tales by Elizabeth Hopkinson

We’re trying something new this time around: Lynn Rambles, but with a backdrop for YouTube. What! I don’t know if it’ll work, but it’d be a nice way to get into booktube somewhat and to make use of YouTube’s auto-captions for the podcasty thing.
YouTube description, minus superfluous links.
Earlier this year, I supported a Kickstarter project by fellow acespec author Elizabeth Hopkinson to finance the publication of a book of retold asexual fairy tales. As anyone who’s known me for any length of time knows that noun phrase is absolute catnip to me and I pounced on supporting it any way I could.
Back in August, the backer ebooks (so kind of like e-ARCs) were released and I dropped everything I was doing to read it. Then I reviewed it on GoodReads and then I tried very hard to record a nice and lovely podcasty thing and failed spectacularly because my mic is about as sensitive as a stereotypical princess on a mountain of mattresses hiding a pea. It’s something I was deadset on doing, though, because while I can think of some things that it could have done (and still do) better, I also think it’s an invaluable resource for people exploring asexuality and aromanticism in fiction and the traces we can find throughout history and throughout locations.
And now I have finally succeeded! Huzzah! In a new format because why not record a podcasty thing with a static image or bring up things as I need them, like the GoodReads page most of this video shows.
